❝ Sol's birth parents didn't want him. From the jump they knew he was going to have problems and they just didn't want to deal with them. They neglected him as baby, leaving his care in the hands of the house maid. From the time he could walk and talk they beat and verbally abused himWhen he was fifteen, he and his parents took a trip to Chicago. On the last day of the trip his parents left him chained to a bike rack while they left for Seoul. Sol didn't know any English so he couldn't ask for help. Eventually, someone called the police for him and he was freed but not before having a permanent scar on his wrist from fighting to get out of the hand cuffs. After hours of attempting to find a translator for poor Sol, they found one and the police were upset to learn his parents had abandoned him. With no other choice, he was placed in foster care.

His foster parents were devastated to learn Sol's story. They immediately put him in counseling in an attempt to get him the help he needed, and promptly hired him a tutor to teach him English. He caught on pretty quick. When he was sixteen he started to experience psychotic episodes where he would see and hear things that weren't there. Not long after it was learned that bipolar mania was the cause of these psychotic episodes and he was medicated.Sol was seventeen when his foster parents died in a nasty car accident. Not wanting to try out another foster family, Sol ran away. He took to the streets where he quickly learned to pickpocket and fend for himself. At twenty-seven, Sol is well known by law enforcement now, often landing himself in jail for trespassing and petty theft.
